Starting Your Adventure

Our journey begins around 10 am from La Fortuna. We pass through charming villages like El Tanque, Los Ángeles, and La Vega, with a stop at El Molino to sample and purchase delicious, seasonal fruits. Around 10:40 am, we reach the Balsa River, known for its exhilarating rapids and diverse wildlife.

Exploring the Balsa River

The Balsa River provides the perfect setting for white water rafting Class 2-3, with its intense flow and two sections: the first with exciting rapids and the second offering a calmer stretch for enjoying the scenery and spotting birds, insects, and reptiles. Facilities are available at the river for changing and receiving necessary equipment and safety instructions.

Enjoying the Experience

Spend approximately 2 hours navigating the rapids, stopping midway to refresh and indulge in fresh local fruits, reenergizing for the descent. After completing the adventure, rinse off and change at the river’s end. We’ll organize equipment and start the journey back home, stopping for a crucial lunch break to savor a “casado,” a local favorite dish. See our Menu here
